to be summer this morning. The sun flashes like a crisp strobe bulb, firing off at half second intervals as the trees, leaves glowing with bright White light, fly past the train windows at great speed. The atmosphere is that which you can only get when cold air meets blazing sun. Calm, clean and uplifting. It's the kind of atmosphere you can actually feel entering your lungs. You can just fill up on it. On days like this you can truly look up to the heavens and appreciate how immensely awesome this little rock really is. Until about lunchtime anyway, when the sky will darken like a drop of ink in a glass of gin, the winds will pick up and I will wish I had bothered to bring my coat. Good old British weather, gotta love it.
